This is Samsung Galaxy 3 (?)

Whoa, there. We're still weeks away from an official big stage unveiling, but it looks like Samsung's next Galaxy phone is already out there. Vietnamese site Tinhte, which has past form on these kind of things, has got it hands on the GT-I9300 -- purportedly the Galaxy S III if Samsung decides to follow its own naming convention. According to the specifications leaked, the phone houses a 4.6-inch display at 720 x 1184 resolution (320 DPI, depending on whether you include those on-screen Android buttons), while a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor works on keeping the Ice Cream Sandwich OS running smoothly. Other hardware mentions include 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage plus microSD capability.

According to Tinhte, the 2,050mAh battery will arrive with NFC capabilities baked in, like the Galaxy Nexus before it. There's an iffy plastic rim surrounding to the whole device that has apparently been added not to ruin the surprise of how the device looks ahead of its official launch. While we've seen some similar hardware leaks already, this video makes a very strong case for it being the real deal. Η ιστοσελίδα Tinhte από το Βιετνάμ φαίνεται ότι μας προσφέρει σε πρώτη δημόσια εμφάνιση το next Galaxy που αναμένεται να ανακοινωθεί σε δύο εβδομάδες στο Λονδίνο. Το κινητό που παρουσιάζεται έχει οθόνη 4.6 ίντσες ανάλυσης 720p (320 dpi), τετραπύρηνο επεξεργαστή 1.4 GHz, μνήμη RAB 1GB, κάμερα 8 Megapixel και ενσωματώνει 16GB μνήμη.
Σύμφωνα με την ιστοσελίδα Tinhte η μπαταρία είναι 2050 mAh και έχει NFC.

Δεν μπορούμε να είμαστε σίγουροι ότι αυτή θα είναι η εξωτερική σχεδίαση του κινητού.

Samsung brings another eight patents to the Apple knife-fight

Samsung's pulled out a further eight patents to rebuke Apple's Northern District court injunction that's got designs on banishing the Galaxy Nexus from our shores.

Samsung Galaxy S III may not be a major update over the S II

The successor of the Samsung Galaxy S II - let's call it the Galaxy S III though that might not be its final name - has been a hot topic of conversation for months now. Now a new rumor suggests that all the imaginative rumors are wrong and the S III will be a relatively minor update.
An anonymous source talking to CNET claims that the S III will be to the S II what the iPhone 4S was to the iPhone 4 - a boost in processing power and a cool-sounding (though not necessarily useful) interaction feature.

The source pointed towards the HTC One X as what to expect from the Galaxy S III's specs - so a quad-core CPU (likely an Exynos rather than Tegra), 1GB of RAM and a 4.7" screen.
The bigger screen is supported by the leaked images of the S III that show a five column UI, rather than four columns on the S II and its 4.3" screen.
The new interaction feature is reportedly dubbed Human Interaction by Samsung and will use the front-facing camera to keep track of where your eyes are pointed - and it will lock the screen when you look away.
Samsung has an event scheduled for May 3 and the most likely phone to be announced at it is the Galaxy S III, so that's when we'll see if the source is right or not.

Samsung has finally started sending out the official invites for the event in London on May 3 for the next Galaxy handset.


The invite doesn't say much but it's highly likely that it will be about the Galaxy S III (or whatever Samsung decides to call it). It's clear from the invite that Samsung is talking about only one device here, which makes us all the more certain that it is just the Galaxy S III that Samsung will announce. As far as the puddles of liquid seen in the invite, it could be nothing more than something used to fill up the invite image or something as exciting as an indicator for the device having a Liquidmetal body.
Samsung has taken its own sweet time with this device, even choosing to play it low at the popular Mobile World Congress this year, which is when companies make major announcements. Hopefully, this phone will live up to everyone's expectations.
